An interesting connection between queer theory and art is the willingness to be different. Art empowers students to be different. Queerness is all about changing norms.

This blog is an attempt to explore fashion as a way of expressing ourselves. i hope to look closely at stereotypes associated with different styles the relationships between different cliques as portrayed in the media. I feel that fashion as an identity is a universal concept that will open doors in the classroom for positive discussion. As an art educator I hope to inspire young people to create and express themselves through fashion rather than consume identities.
